The City of Richmond Utility costs: 

Installation of a new meter / collar etc. $300. to $350.

Water/Sewer Deposit: If purchasing a home $15.00 & Rental property- $100.00

Rates: 

Water: 
$6.75 for the first 1000 gallons. $4.48 for additional 1000 gallons.
Outside of the City $8.40 per first 1000.

Sewer: $5.28 for the first 1000 & $3.00 For each additional 1000 gallons

Trash: $7.25 per month

* The three fees listed above as "rates" are on the monthly Utility/Water bill sent to residents Richmond residents homes. The billings are mailed on the day nearest 15th of the month. Payments are due no later than the 10th of the following month. The payment is delinquent on the 20th of the month of the due date. Service will be disconnected and subject to a reconnect penalty which is based on unpaid balances.

The City of Richmond Property Tax Rate is assessed at $1.43 per $100.00 assessment.

The City of Richmond's residents are required to have a City Sticker on their automobiles and trucks.

Fees are $5.00 per automobile and $6.00 per truck. The sticker can be purchased at City Hall, when paying property taxes.
