Facilities

The City of Richmond has great facilities for exercise, picnicking, recreation, sports, and relaxation. We hope you'll take some time to enjoy these facilities.

City Parks - click on name for location map

Armour Park: 1013 West Royle Street, 7.6 acres; two shelters with BBQ grills, a ball field, swings, playground structure, horseshoe pits, dog park, and restrooms.

Southview Park: 333 East South St., 35.3 acres; public swimming pool, three ball fields, two soccer fields, one playground structure, one shelter house with BBQ grills, fishing lake, walking trail, picnic tables, restrooms outside of the pool, and the community amphitheater.

Maurice Roberts Park: 819 E. Main St., 11.2 acres; three shelter houses with BBQ grills, four tennis courts with lights, swings, slides, two play ground structures, one sand volleyball pit, picnic tables, and restrooms.

Cevie Due Park: West Lexington. One basketball court, and Skate Park.

Registrations & Forms - RESERVATIONS ARE MADE/PAID AT CITY HALL

Rent a Shelter House
Park shelter house reservations may be obtained by calling City Hall at 776-5304. The fee is $30 per shelter per day. If you have a special request, please call and ask.

Rent The Gym
Gym reservations can be obtained by calling Haley at 816-776-5304 ext.116 at the recreation department.
The fee is 1 hour = $20, 2 hours = $40, each additional hour is $15 per hour.

Rent The Pool
Pool reservations may be obtained by calling City Hall at 776-5304.
Fees:
30 people (or less) - $100.00 per 1.5 hours
31 people (or more) - $140.00 per 1.5 hours

Extras:
Shelter house behind the pool - $30/day
*Concession Stand - $20 per 1.5 hours
*costs will still apply to purchase food

Pool Party’s can be reserved: Friday, Saturday, or Sundays

Registration Policies and Procedures

Registration Procedures
Note the registration dates for each activity, program or special event.  The program fee must be paid in full by the registration deadline to be eligible to participate.  Registrations may be mailed to 205 Summit St. or taken to the City Hall. If you can not make it to the City Hall between 8:00 am-4:30 pm (M-F), you may put the registration ion form and the registration fee (check or exact amount of cash) in the after hours box outside of City Hall. Click here for registration forms, or you can pick them up at the Recreation Department.

Program Policies
The Richmond Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel, combine, or divide classes, programs,  or reservations to change the time, date, fee, or place of meeting or to make necessary revisions in any program when necessary. Once a participant is placed on a team they will not be switched. NO REFUNDS.

Youth Scholarship Assistance
Applications for assistance for youth program fees are available at the Recreation office and at the front desk of City Hall.

Want to sponsor a team?
Business sponsors are needed for T-ball, Softball, & Baseball. Call The Rec. Department today!
