Located in the Southview Park, Southview Pool has been a tradition in Richmond since its opening in the summer of 1980.
This swimming facility features the main pool with a zero entry beach, restrooms with changing area, a grass pavilion, concession operations, and comfortable deck furniture.

The management and staff of Southview pool need your support in continuing to make this facility a positive and safe environment for your children. Please discuss the rules and regulations enclosed in this information guide with your children prior to their first visit.
Please remind them once they have entered the facility, they should remain inside until it is time for them to leave for the day. Southview Pool is part of the City of Richmond, and cannot be responsible for the safety of your children if they are not in the pool facility.
Please do not hesitate to speak to the pool managers, or contact the Recreation Department with your concerns and suggestions.

- Family Passes: $235 for family of four + $35 for each additional family member
Season Passes can be purchased by mail or in person at City Hall (M-F 8am-4:30pm). 205 Summit St. Richmond, MO 64085.

Daily Admission:
All patrons entering the facility during General Swim time are required to pay the facility admission fee, including swimmers, non swimmers, tanners, and spectators
- Day Pass: $3.50
3 and under is free (Adults still have to pay the day pass fee)
- Senior Citizen Day Pass (65+): $2:00
- Lap Swim: $2.00
- Lap Swim Senior Citizen: $1.00
*If you leave the facility you have to pay to again re-enter
*Lap Swimmers- If you want to stay for general swim, after lap swim, you need to pay the general swim fee, as well.

Any Age-children under 3 years need a parent in the water with them

Water Fitness
Men & Women; High School –Adult
Improves strength, posture, flexibility, and coordination while getting a cardiovascular workout! No swimming ability required!
*All levels of fitness are wanted
Dolphin Swim Team
For youth 4 to 18 years of age that can swim! Practices are weekdays.
First Practices: June 1, 2010
Practices: Monday-Friday
9 and Under: 8:00-9:00 am
11 and Up: 9:00-10:00am
13 and Up: 10:00-11:00 am
18 and Up: 11:00-Noon
Parents Meeting: Thursday, May 27 at Richmond Middle School at 6:30 pm

Rabies vaccination records are required for each dog to participate and must be presented at the front desk
NO AGRESSIVE DOGS, PLEASE!
Dogs have to be four months for older
Fee: $5/dog and 1 owner ($3 for each additional person with out a dog)
Participants must sign a liability waver. No children under 10 allowed. Children ages 10 to 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18. No more than two dogs per person. Wading to the knees is permitted. No human swimming.
Pool Rules

General Rules
- Children under 8 must be accompanied to the pool by someone who is 15 years or older.
- Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool to qualify for swimming in the deep water.
- NO PROFANE OR VULGAR LANGUAGE
- Patrons must take showers before initial entry into the pool
- Out side food, gum, cigarettes, other tobacco products, and glass containers are not allowed in the pool facility.
- Avoid unnecessary conversation with the lifeguards
- Persons with open sores are not permitted in the pool
- Alcoholic beverages or people who have apparently consumed alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the pool area
- Patrons are to observe all signs, safety rules and instructions from lifeguards
- Snorkels, air rafts, mattresses, or inner tubes are not allowed.
- Frisbees are not allowed in the pool area
Pool Deck
- No Running
- No Diving from the side of the pool
- No diving or jumping from the ladders
- No entry to deck or pool unless qualified lifeguards are at their posts.
- Shoes worn outside the pool must be removed when you enter the pool
- Diaper changing is only allowed in the restrooms
Diving Area
- Enter diving area from diving board unless approved by lifeguard
- Exit diving area immediately after entry. Do not swim under the diving board.
- Only one person on the board at a time
- One bounce from the board
- Dive straight off the end of the board
- Don’t shift the diving board to one side
Other Rules
- No one is allowed to be on the peninsula during open swim
- No handstands on the diving board
- No running on the diving board. Only 3 steps are allowed before you jump or dive.
- No kiddy or water wings in the main pool
- No swearing
- No piggy back rides on shoulders
- No towel snapping
- No Noodle fighting
- Towels are not allowed in water
- Do not push people into the pool
- No one is allowed on the ropes
- We reserve the right to dismiss/suspend anyone for the disorderly conduct, or breaking the above rules; the length which is at the supervisor’s discretion. This includes forfeiture of season pass.
- No Horseplay
- Respect the Lifeguards, Pool Management, and all other pool staff at all times!
- No refunds for day passes, season passes, or concession items
- Other rules might apply if necessary
